Initially, the technology employed by CAE consisted of two hosts that shared a traditional Storage Area Network (SAN).Its improvement included the replacement of the traditional SAN with a Software Definied Storage solution based on StorMagic technology. The architecture now features two hyperconvergent StorMagic nodes in a VMware environment in direct-attached business continuity. Since installation, CAE has reduced the complexity of the infrastructure, the energy consumption and the space of the hardware rack used by the previous physical SAN which represented the single point of failure.
